Gathering with Gratitude...

As we all get ready for the Thanksgiving holiday,

there is food prep, table setting and a  feeling of excitement as we 

prepare for family to gather with gratitude in their hearts

for each blessing God has bestowed upon each soul.

As I shared my Autumn Bark recipe on Friday, 

I thought I should also share my fun treat packaging idea 

with each of you so that you too could create some fun

treats for little (and big) guests that join 

in your Thanksgiving Gathering.

Halloween Purse of Treats

This year I found the most delicious candy corn - - -

S'Mores Candy Corn...yummy!

I decorated this food safe acrylic purse with DSP 

and cardstock elements created on my Cricut.

Then I created a tag for the purse with fun framelits 

and a label created in My Digital Studio.

Christmas Countdown - Merry Christmas

I love Crumb Cake Cardstock and find myself 

using it every chance I get.  I also am a "scrap saver" - 

and yes that means I save various pieces of scrapbooking

paper and place it in a neat little Ziploc bag

to use on future projects.

I even have a "magic box"....

but that's for another post...

Using a favorite snowflake stamp on the cardstock allows me 

to create my own unique background paper.

I used fun framelits for the cocoa mug and steam, too.  Such fun!

Songbird's Hello

Spring mornings bring beautiful bird songs and this card shares the same cheery feeling. Sale-A-Bration is still going on and you have until March 31st to earn FREE goodies from the 2012 Sale-A-Bration catalog. If you don't have a copy you can click on the catalog link on the left bar of my bog to see it.

Using the Stamp Set Swirls & Curls Verses (a previous hostess set) and stamping with the Calypso Coral Classic Ink Pad on the the Very Vanilla Cardstock; this cute card begins to form. Adding a layer of Pool Party Cardstock embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder and an additional layer of Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper embossed with the Finial Press Embossing Folder adds just a hint of fun detail. Each of these layers was then cut with a gradating size of the Framelits Label Collection to create the layers. Adding these layers to the Soft Suede Cardstock that was embossed with the Lattice Embosssing Folder created this fun look. 1/8" Organdy Ribbon in Calypso Coral was used from the Brads and Ribbon Pack in the Sale-A-Bration Catalog between the top and middle framelit and a soft bow was tied on the left of the card. Adding pearls to the bottom of the top framelit and using the Pool Party Stampin' Write Marker to add color to the songbird gave it the final touch. Once formed the card layers were added to a Very Vanilla card foundation and it was ready to mail to a friend.
