Pencil Pack Treats

I love Love LOVE My Digital Studio!
I created this great pencil pack treat by first
creating my own Digital Paper with a variety of
fonts and Halloween themed words.

Once I printed the paper on colored cardstock, I cut it lengthwise to 2 1/8" wide
(which yeilds 4 cuts on paper 8.5" x 11") and scored it at 7.5" and 7.75".

Then placing three pencils in the fold,
I wrapped it with Chevron washi tape
and placed a Halloween Sentiment in the front.
This sentiment was stamped in StazOn Jet Black
Ink and came from the That's The Ticket Stamp Set.

Happy Halloween Y'all!

Halloween Purse of Treats

This year I found the most delicious candy corn - - -
S'Mores Candy Corn...yummy!

I decorated this food safe acrylic purse with DSP
and cardstock elements created on my Cricut.

Then I created a tag for the purse with fun framelits
and a label created in My Digital Studio.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today for a day of
Halloween Sweet Treat posts.

Mini Chinese Boo Box

This cute mini Chinese takeout box was at the local craft store
and I thought it could be turned into a super sweet treat box
for this year's Halloween spooky visitors.

Layering a stamped image over a scalloped circle punch
and placing it on top of Lucky Limeade Ribbon completed
this sweet treat favor for Halloween.

Enjoy a safe and sweet HALLOWEEN y'all!

Scary Pumpkin Patch

It's so fun when a simple treat like a Tootsie Roll Pop
turns into something more and that's the fun I created here.

Using the plastic from a $0.97 tablecloth from a party store
I cut 5.5" squares and punched holes in the center bottom.
I then put the pop stick through the hole and gathered it at
the top securing it with floral tape to create the pumpkin stem.

I then popped the "pumpkins" into a cute bucket
I grabbed at the craft store
and pushed it into styrofoam ball
with which I filled the bucket.
Tying a quick Chevron Ribbon
to the handle  and chalking a quick
"BOO!" onto the chalkboard front
made a perfectScary Pumpkin Patch!

Check back later today for other cute Halloween treats!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN Y'ALL!

Santa Tag It ...

I adore the Tag It Stamp Set from
Stampin' Up and love that it supports the
Ronald McDonald House Charities.

This cute (and simple) Christmas Countdown Card
was created with the Santa Tag in the set
and was stamped on Whisper White Cardstock twice...
once in Real Red for the Santa cutout
(which I popped up on Dimensionals)
and once in Early Espresso for the base.

The card foundation is Crumb Cake in color and the
polka dot Real Red DSP came
from the Brights DSP paper pack.
I notched the end to create a banner look.
I then added a small lengthwise strip of
Glimmer Paper  to the edge for holiday glitz!
The Ribbon added is 1/8" Taffeta Early Espresso.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more
2013 Christmas Countdown fun!

Christmas Tree Merriment!

It's almost that time at my house....
everyone that knows me well, knows
that my favorite time of the holiday season
is putting up the Christmas tree ...
And because I love it so much I like to put it up
shortly after Halloween! (- yes I said Halloween)

It's because of the Joy Christmas brings that I love
putting up that tree... its a reminder that there is Joy in
our lives because of the meaning of Christmas.

It's not simply about the presents under that tree...
it's about the One present God gave us in His Son
that we celebrate Christmas.

Enjoy this fun card...it makes me think of the
bright colored trees my girls put up for their children...
Created with the various Designer Series Papers
punched with the Petite Pennant Builder Punch
and stacked on Whisper White Cardstock
for the fun colorful and funky tree topped with a star
punched from silver glimmer paper.

The fun layer of Coastal Cabana Cardstock
is created with the woodgrain embossing
folder and edged with the scallop
edge punch and glimmer paper.
The cute "Merry" sentiment is stamped
in Cherry  Cobbler Classic Ink
on Whisper White cardstock and
punched out with the Ticket Punch.

I hope you enjoy this
2013 Christmas Countdown Creation.

Just BELIEVE - - -

The rule at our house at Christmas is
"you better believe or Santa won't come"...
Even our grown kids get in on Santa because it is
the spirit of giving that brings joy!

However, no Christmas gift is sweeter than
the one God gave us when He
gave His Son for us - that if we BELIEVE
we would have Everlasting Life!

It's for that reason this card has a double meaning for me...
the Amazing gift of the baby Jesus and the wonder of Santa
as the stockings are hung with care on our mantle.

This card is a wonder of layered stamping and has a
beautiful look as it is put together.

Supplies used include:  Brushed Silver Cardstock,
Real Red Cardstock, Whisper White Cardstock,
Silver Embossing Powder, Heat Embossing Tool,
Versamark Ink Pad, Embossing Buddy,
Snowflake Soiree Stamp Set, Whisper White 5/8"
Organza Ribbon & Winter Frost Embossing Folder.

Look for a tutorial to be posted soon
(most likely November 5) on this technique.

Enjoy today's Christmas Countdown idea!

Ornament Fun

Making an ornament 3D in fashion is a quick
and easy way to create a fabulous card!

Using three different designs of Designer Series Paper (DSP)
- always using one light, one medium and one dark value of color -
makes this card just right!

To create the 3D ornament punch the ornament
3 times and score down the center of
each punch from top to bottom. Glue together
to create the 3D effect and then punch
a small hole in the top for
silver thread.  Then add a beautiful bow to the
top and place on top of the banners created
from the other two pieces of DSP.

Add the sentiment by stamping in Versamark,
adding Silver embossing powder and
heat embossing for the fabulous holiday look!

Enjoy today's Christmas Countdown feature!

Home for Christmas...

This is a little bit of a spin off a Christmas card
I did for Founder's Circle one year.

I love this Christmas lodge feel and the
addition of Dazzling Diamonds on the
rooftop for the effect of snow, makes for winter wonder!

I love the Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White combo
for this Christmas Countdown Card.

I hope it is a card idea you will enjoy!

Make it a great day!

Merry Heat Embossing!

I started working on a Christmas quilt years ago...
I'm now at the "must get it quilted" phase and
I love the red and green combination.
The Real Red and Gumball Green set on
Whisper White cardstock make
the perfect Christmas combo!
Using the Daydreams Medallions Stamp Set, Versamark
and the white embossing powder
I created the great floral patterns using heat embossing.
(Look closely and you will see three layers
under the "NOEL" sentiment.)

Then using the Floral Frame Framelits Dies
and the Big Shot,
I cut each layer and then stacked
them together on Dimensionals.

The Noel Sentiment is from the
Greetings of the Season Stamp Set and
was stamped in Real Red and punched with a circle punch.
I added rhinestone on the curves of the "N" and
on the first flower layer.

The Whisper White layer was embossed with the
Argyle Textured ImpressionsEmbossing Folder.

(My apologies - this ribbon was in
my stash so I can't tell you where it originates)

Enjoy!

Fabulous Friday Recipe

This Friday our Fabulous Friday Recipe
is Chicken Spaghetti.

At the recent Creepy Crawly Creations Camp,
I created this great casserole for lunch and served it
with a fresh garden salad and garlic bread.
We enjoyed Red Velvet Cupcakes and
Caramel Apple Cupcakes for dessert, too,
so stay tuned for those recipes in upcoming weeks.

More Joy to Share...

I adore the way the Cherry Cobbler and Soft Sky
come together for this fabulous card.

The card foundation is Soft Sky and then
a layer of vellum embossed with the
Winter Frost Textured Impressions Folder
was added for some great holiday detail.
Additional Stampin' Up Jewel Rhinestones were used to draw
attention to the center of the embossed snowflakes.

I punched a small strip of Soft Sky DSP
that I created on My Digital Studio
with the Scallop Trim Border Punch and added
rhinestones in each scallop.

The sentiment was stamped in Cherry Cobbler and
is from the Stampin' Up set Perfect Punches.

I punched it out with the scallop punch and used
Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine to tie it to the
Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding wrapped bow.

Stay tuned daily for more Christmas Countdown ideas....

Enjoy!

The Stockings are Hung...

Hi y'all!  Today in the 2013 Chirstmas Countdown,
I'm featuring a cute card I made last year at one of the
Christmas Card Stamp Camps I held.

It's one of my favorites as it features stockings.
Stockings in our family bring such a joy each Christmas...each person
is filled with excitement of giving and receiving as they
place secret gifts into each other's stockings.

I think the textures created with the
various embossing folders make the card...and about
two years ago I really began to utilize the
glimmer papers in various shades
to make my designs "pop"!
Here you see the glimmer paper in silver
at the top, heel and toe of the stocking.

The card foundation is in Cherry Cobbler
and match the seam binding ribbon behind the
stamped and punched sentiment.

Share what your favorite Christmas decor is in the
comments below to be entered into my October Drawing.

Thanks for stopping by my blog this Wednesday
and stay tuned for more creative ideas from my
2013 Christmas Countdown.

Enjoy!

Merry Christmas

I hope you all are enjoying the Christmas Countdown for 2013.
We have only 78 more days until Christmas and I am
so excited to share a variety of creative ideas with you.

This card is simple and quick to create.
The layer was partially embossed with the
Stripes Textured Impressions Folder from Stampin' Up!
with a ribbon tied at the stopping point.
The Merry Christmas image was then stamped in Old Olive
to match the ribbon and a stocking punched from the DSP
and topped with Silver Glimmer paper.

The layer was added to the Whisper White card foundation
with dimensionals...and a sweet and simple card was born!

Perhaps your hand penned message for the inside could be:
"May your Christmas be Merry and filled with His Joy!"

Stay tuned for more 2013 Christmas Countdown to come...

Enjoy your day!
