Hi y'all! Today in the 2013 Chirstmas Countdown,
I'm featuring a cute card I made last year at one of the
Christmas Card Stamp Camps I held.
It's one of my favorites as it features stockings.
Stockings in our family bring such a joy each Christmas...each person
is filled with excitement of giving and receiving as they
place secret gifts into each other's stockings.
I think the textures created with the
various embossing folders make the card...and about
two years ago I really began to utilize the
glimmer papers in various shades
to make my designs "pop"!
Here you see the glimmer paper in silver
at the top, heel and toe of the stocking.
The card foundation is in Cherry Cobbler
and match the seam binding ribbon behind the
stamped and punched sentiment.
Share what your favorite Christmas decor is in the
comments below to be entered into my October Drawing.
Thanks for stopping by my blog this Wednesday
and stay tuned for more creative ideas from my
2013 Christmas Countdown.
Enjoy!
Hi, Dee. My favorite Christmas decor is the Advent Calendar. My children couldn't wait to see what the next day/trinket would be! It took a lot of planning (and year-long shopping) on my part, but was so very worth the time spent hunting for tiny inexpensive treasures to wrap and hang from the Calendar rings. Memories are now my treasures!
